At It's Like Butter Baby, our journey didn't begin with a business plan—it began with a need.

Like many people, I was searching for a moisturizer that truly nourished my skin without feeling heavy, greasy, or leaving behind a thick residue. I wanted something that deeply moisturized yet felt so light it was almost like wearing nothing at all.

After trying product after product and coming up empty, I looked at my wife, Buffy, and said, "We're going to make our own."

That simple conversation sparked a journey neither of us could have imagined.

We spent countless hours researching ingredients, studying formulations, testing recipes, and learning everything we could about creating a body butter that delivered exactly what we were looking for. When we finally developed a formula we loved, I wanted to scent it with essential oils.

But Buffy had a different vision.

She said, "Let's create our own lane. Let's use designer-inspired fragrances. No one is really doing that with an all-natural whipped body butter."

She was right.

From that moment on, we committed ourselves to creating luxurious, handcrafted body butters made with skin-loving natural ingredients while pairing them with beautiful designer-inspired fragrances that make you feel just as amazing as your skin feels.

As the business began taking shape, I made another decision that would define our brand.

I told Buffy, "I'm giving this business to you. I'll work behind the scenes."

To be honest, I struggled with my past. I believed people would see who I used to be instead of who I had become. Buffy, on the other hand, had earned the trust, respect, and admiration of everyone around her. She had the character, the heart, and the reputation to represent what we wanted our brand to stand for.

She agreed.

Today, Buffy is the face of It's Like Butter Baby, but behind every jar is a partnership built on faith, perseverance, countless late nights, and hands working together in love.

Most importantly, this business belongs to God.

We strive to let Him lead every decision we make. Our prayer is that It's Like Butter Baby becomes more than a skincare company—that it becomes a testimony of God's faithfulness, redemption, second chances, and what can happen when two people trust Him enough to step out in faith.

Every jar we create is handcrafted with intention because we believe everyone deserves to feel confident in their skin, cared for, and reminded that even the smallest acts of love can make a lasting difference.
